2024 has been a turbulent year for fans of agency vtubers. From graduations from major agencies like Hololive and Nijisanji to the closure of smaller agencies such as VReverie and EIEN Project, fans are left reeling with disappointment.
To round out the year, we’re doing a quick rundown of agencies that have closed and of agency vtubers that have graduated this year and recommend some alternate vtubers that fans may enjoy.
Hololive
Hololive is likely the vtuber agency with the least graduations this year. We’ve said goodbye to three hololive talents this year, two from the main branch and one from hololive English.
Cover Corp also announced two additional graduations for Ceres Fauna and Sakamata Chloe whose graduations are expected in January, 2025.
Hololive talents Watson Amelia and Sakamata Chloe have technically not “graduated” but have ceased streaming activities. They will be considered affiliates leaving open the possibility of participating in future activities and merch for both talents will still be available.

Nijisanji
2024 has been a rough year for niji-fans, particularly fans of the EN branch with at least six talents deciding to part ways with the company.

Production Kawaii
Production Kawaii announced it would be ceasing operations on November 30th of this year. It was announced that all remaining talents at the time operations ceased would be able to continue streaming activities using their Production Kawaii personas.
The remaining 1st generation talents have formed their own agency, Eonia and will continue streaming activities.
Generation “Hanamizuki” talents have formed their own agency, Mielune with talent Felynne DeRouge.

One talent, Ran Tsukiha, graduated in 2024 and will not be resuming streaming activities.

NextStage Project
NextStage Project announced that they would be ending operations at the end of August this year. Their remaining talents are continuing streaming activities as indie vtubers.
EIEN Project
EIEN Project ceased operation back on November 3rd of this year. Most remaining talents opted to continue streaming activities as indie vtubers.
